We are calling on the next Victorian Government to take immediate action to strengthen our state’s palliative and end-of-life care system.
Victoria’s population is ageing rapidly, and living longer with complex, chronic life-limiting conditions. We need government leadership and investment in sustainable solutions to build a system that ensures every Victorian receives the care they deserve.
54.6% increase in Victorians over the age of 85 by 2032, 150% increase by 2042
Our Tomorrow’s Care Starts Today! campaign is reflective of extensive consultation, and the message is clear: services are stretched, demand is rising, and resources are falling behind.
Despite this, palliative care teams continue to deliver beyond expectation, driven by dedication and compassion. But goodwill alone cannot sustain the system.
