Year Three
Evaluate and measure progress to drive accountability and improvement.
What is the need?
There is no consistent, transparent data on access, outcomes, or service quality in palliative care. Without measurement, progress cannot be demonstrated or improved.
What is PCV asking for?
Establish a statewide Palliative Care Outcomes and Evaluation Framework, co-designed and delivered by the Department of Health, PCV, and sector representatives.
Fund PCV to coordinate quarterly data collection, analysis, and reporting on key palliative care indicators (access, equity, quality, workforce, and patient/family experience).
Use data to inform continuous improvement, policy direction, and funding priorities, ensuring Victoria leads nationally in accountability and outcomes.
